A robust mix based on a variety of “poor-soil” communities including dry sand prairies, oak barrens and pine barrens. This mix is designed to be low-profile so plants won’t exceed four feet in height aside from the occasional flower or seed head. Big bluestem and Indian grass would typically be important components of such prairies. For areas where low-profile isn't necessary, consider our Basic and Diverse Tallgrass Prairie Mixes.
